OUR NATURAL DISASTER LOGISTICS PLAN
Our Plan has provided a hub for local charities to distribute supplies to communities in need during crucial times. We believe that providing much-needed supplies and support in the first hours following a natural disaster is key to the recovery of the community.
OUR EVER GROWING PROBLEM
Every year Americans throw away over 21 billion pounds of textiles including shoes, belts, and bedding. Only 15% actually gets donated or recycled. By 2019 it is projected that Americans will throw away almost 35 billion pounds while only increasing recycling efforts by 2%.
TEXTILE RECYCLING
- Damaged or unusable clothing is compacted into thousand pound bales and shipped all over the world for reuse. Re-purposed into wiping rags or resold in other counties. Every year we help keep over 4 million pounds out of Oklahoma Landfills.
- Shoes, Belts, Purses, and Hats can be recycled as well.
- 93 % of all textile recycled are successfully reclaimed.
35% Used Clothing
33% Re-processed Fibers
25 % Converted into wiping cloths
- Americans Recycle 15% of available materials
- That means that 85% of available materials are put in the landfills.
100% FREE FUNDRAISING
We offer schools and groups a way to raise money without having to ask the community for monetary donations. Our fundraising programs are an excellent way to get the community involved in the support of their local organizations.
