In Our Partners Own Words

Newcastle Elementary School

October 10, 2014

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend the Recycle for Charity program. Our school used this program to help raise money to “beautify our campus.” At Newcastle Elementary School we have a school motto that we are One Team, One Family, with One Goal, EXCELLENCE. We talk about helping others in our school and in our community. One of the ways we help others is through service projects. Last year we participated in seven projects throughout the year in our community and surrounding cities. This year we decided to “give back” by raising money to help update and beautify our campus which represents our community.

The Recycle for Charity program is a very simple and convenient way to raise money for our school. We sent home notes about our “recycle for charity event” and asked parents and community members to clean out their closets, garages, etc. and bring their items to the school for a donation. Alex brought a banner for us to hang on our fence to advertise the event and to encourage parents and community members to start gathering items to donate.

The day of our event, the organization brought out a truck and parked it in the school’s parking lot to collect the items. The staff that came out for the event were kind and courteous as they helped donors unload their cars and trucks. The customer service with this program was excellent.

This fundraiser requires very little time and effo1i. I believe our participation in this program helped us in several ways, it helped to “clear out the clutter” in our homes and helped raise money for our school project. It is also nice to know that our donations will go to help others and meets our goal to serve others.

Sincerely,

Terri Scott, Principal

To whom it may concern,

I am the founder and director of the Tri-City Hope Center in Newcastle. We are a public 501(c)3 non-profit charity which provides free food, clothing, shoes, toys, household items, baby items, etc. to our community every week. We first opened our doors in November 2009 in climate controlled storage units. In April 2010 I received a call from the owner (Duane “Alex” Alexander) of Recycle for Charity. He had received our name from the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and wanted to help our charity. He explained his business provides donation stations (green/white drop boxes) which would display our name and we would receive funds for the material donations each received. After checking with other charities he assisted, I decided to consider his offer. He asked what our biggest need was and I told him we needed a building for free. He said he was opening a donation drive-thru in the area and did not need the entire building so he would share it with us rent free. I really stepped back and questioned his motives and reminded him the Tri-City Hope Center had absolutely nothing to offer him. He said he felt God directing him to help us. That was over 2 years ago. Through Recycle for Charities’ continual financial support, we now occupy our own building and are able to assist on an average of 105 families every week.

Recycle for Charity is an honest and wonderful program for charities which rely 100% on financial donations to keep their doors open. Duane “Alex” Alexander is truly a Christian who follows the Holy Spirit’s guidance and would never mislead or take advantage of a charity.

How many people do you know that seek out charities to offer financial help and have no hidden strings? Duane “Alex” Alexander goes above and beyond. In addition to the funds we receive from the donation stations and donation drive-thru in the Newcastle area, Recycle for Charity donates a portion of the monthly rent for our building, has supplied us with clothing racks and shelving and has provided turkeys for 100 families at Christmas for the past 2 years. The first Christmas in our new building, Alex provided new wrapped Christmas gifts for 75 boys and girls and dressed up as Santa and took free pictures with the kids. When a tornado hit our community in May 2011, Alex brought us numerous cases of diapers to hand out to the tornado victims. He also loves to surprise the volunteers with pizza periodically. I have no doubt the relationship with Recycle for Charity is part of God’s plan for the Tri-City Hope Center.

Fellow Organizations,

I recently got a chance to use Recycle for Charity as a fundraiser for our choir. They completely organized the whole event. They put huge banners across the entrances of our school, contacted my principal to authorize distribution of materials, printed out flyers and collections bags for the entire student body, and set up collection stations in our parking lot on the designated day.

I was not only pleased with how Recycle for Charity ran the whole show, but I REALLY like the whole concept of collecting “garage sale” type items that we all have in excess, instead of flooding the community with overpriced candy and brochure items. They also collect old electronic devices and toys (working or not), which many of us find cluttering our homes.

I was also pleased with the ridiculously huge check we received for our minimum efforts.

I plan to take advantage of this great fundraising opportunity every year and highly encourage others to do the same. It not only pays off by helping your organization financially, but it is good for the ecology and the community.

Thanks,

Rick Williams

To Whom It May Concern:

I highly recommend using Professional Recyclers, International.
This was our first year to do a fundraiser of this sort and we couldn’t be more delighted with the results!

The process is very simple and easy for the chairperson of the fundraising event and parents don’t have to sell or purchase anything; making it easy on them also.

We love the idea of helping our community by collecting gently worn clothing and small items that they no longer use and donating them to Professional Recyclers, Inc.

This is definitely a win-win situation! We couldn’t be more excited about the process of earning money for our school while helping out those in need. Please consider giving Duane Alexander and the people at Professional Recyclers, Int. a chance to help your school.

Sincerely,
Mr. Trever Lee

To Whom It May Concern:

I’m the District Athletic Director of Putnam City Schools. I would like to take a moment to share our experience working with the fundraising program recently introduced to us by Professional Recyclers, Inc. To begin, I would like to say how pleased that we are working with this company. The staff has been excellent and, as their name states, professional in their efforts to establish their recycling program in our district. It is a company that has already earned high praise by administrators and coaches in our district who are working with them in their schools and sporting events.

Regarding the actual program, Recycle for Charity, coaches have reported to me that it has been one of the easiest fundraisers for them to utilize at their events. It required minimal time and effort from them. The bins were also nice and clean, thus not deterring from the atmosphere and very welcoming to those whom provided donations. The company did all of the setup/removal and provided the promotional banners/flyers. Our coaches whom have used the program and athletes versus a time consuming fundraiser. I see this expanding vastly amongst our athletic/fine arts departments as we have received calls from others who are hearing of its success.

Our schools are also beginning to use the program for their own fundraising. Currently, three of our elementary schools have donation centers. Feedback to date has been positive. They have reported it as effortless on their part to manage. The company again does the setup of the bins and provides promotional flyers to send home. The bins are automatically checked regularly. They have not had any overflow or unsightliness. They love receiving the checks from the donations.

I encourage anyone considering a fundraiser to use this one. The Recycling for Charity program has been wonderful for all of our schools and athletic programs who are using it. It has been effortless and made money for their programs. We are very pleased with it and with working with Professional Recyclers, Inc. If you have any questions, then please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Dr. Dick Balenseifen

To whom it may concern,

Our school did a fundraiser for charity called Fill the Truck with Junk. We used Duane Alexander’s company called Professional Recyclers, Inc. for our fundraiser.

They posted a very nice sign outside our school for 2 weeks before the event and provided us with fliers to disperse to our families.

On the day of the event, the truck parked in front of the school where the worker helped unload the items and provided participants with a receipt for their taxes. Since it was raining, he even held an umbrella for the people to help keep them out of the rain.

It was a ve1y easy way to raise money. We will be doing it again during our second semester!

To Whom It May Concern,

It is with pleasure and without hesitation that I recommend the Recycle for Charity program. Our church is very involved in community outreach programs. We use the money generated from this on-going fundraising to help fund these programs. It has proven to be a very simple and convenient way to generate funds and help us all “declutter” our homes.

We first used the Recycle for Charity program when we had an all-church yard sale on our property last spring. Recycle for Charity loaned us several hangers and clothes racks for the sale and served as a valuable resource as we planned the event; at the close of the sale they picked up all the unsold items and within two weeks sent us a check for the items they were able to use. It was a double win for us, no leftovers to deal with and a check for our community outreach!

We now have a donation bin on our property which allows our church members as well as those in the community to deposit items. Recycle for Charity empties the bin often and sends a check each month for the contents. I have appreciated the professionalism and prompt response to any questions that we have had. I can honestly say this is the easiest fundraiser with which I have ever been involved; it requires virtually no time, attention or effort on our part other than to put the contents in the bin. Recycle for Charity takes care of all the other details.

What a blessing it has been for us to partnership with Recycle for Charity! I recommend them to any non-profit looking for ways to increase revenue to continue the work to which they have been called.

Blessings and peace,

Rev. Kathy Brown, Pastor

Fellow Organizations,

We recently had the opportunity to work with Professional Recyclers, Inc. for a school fundraiser. This definitely was the easiest fundraiser ever! Rather than trying to sell candy and trinkets that no one truly needs, we were able to get rid of gently used items that others might need.

Professional Recyclers handled all the preparation by providing flyers and hanging a large banner on our fence for the entire neighborhood to see.

In addition to funds raised for our school, Professional Recyclers worked with local children’s author, John Brooks and provided our school with an author visit and a new set of his books, The Bobby Bright Series, to our school library. This was a welcome addition to the fundraiser since we have had a huge budget shortage and library books can only be purchased through fundraisers this year.

We plan to take advantage of this fundraising event again in the spring. I strongly suggest that other organizations do the same.

Sincerely,

Patrick Duffy, Principal
